The Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities welcomes Kelli Behun, the new Director of Human Resources. She is taking the place of outgoing Human Resources Director, William Bagnola, who has accepted the position of Superintendent at the Clark County Board of Developmental Disabilities.
Kelli's career in Human Resources spans two decades in the education, health and human service industries. Early in her career she was a foster care caseworker and a family preservation therapist, and Human Resources Executive at Catholic Charities. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan, and a Masters Degree in Human Resources from Western Michigan University. Most recently she served as Director of Human Resources at Mercy Health.
Kelli describes herself as a collaborative person with a passion for employee relations; a life-long learner who enjoys networking to gain new ideas. She is skilled in leading effective HR teams that support the organization's success.
She lives in Austintown with her family, and when she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with them. She also likes to cook, read and volunteer for church and community activities.
