A Field of Opportunity
The Walnut Grove – A Field of Opportunity is the vision of a group of community members looking to create an outdoor recreational facility where individuals of all abilities can learn, play, relax and feel accepted. The Walnut Grove, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, is located on State Route 46 in Canfield.
Last year, the inaugural Swing, Wine, and Dine fund raiser was a sold out event that raised over $15,000 to support the first two phases of our vision. The proceeds from the fund raiser were used to install accessible nature trails that connect to the Mill Creek MetroParks bike trail, a parking lot, and the first phase of our accessible playground!
During the next year we plan to finish installing the accessible playground and make enhancements to the nature trails but we need your help to do this. The 2nd Annual Swing, Wine, and Dine will be held on February 17th, 2018 at the Maronite Center from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We are currently seeking donations for baskets or auction items to be used at this year’s event.
These donations will not only ensure the success of the Swing, Wine, and Dine Auction, but it will also directly enhance The Walnut Grove as we move forward.
