  • Description:

    POSITION:                           Director of Community Services


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, including but not limited to:


    1. Promote positive culture in all areas of community services, including but not limited to the individuals served by the county board and their families, Board members, bargaining and non-bargaining staff members, and community partners.
    2. Overall responsibility for the direction/operation of the Community Services Department.
    3. Supervise SSA Supervisors and support staff.
    4. Prepare and monitor the budget for the Community Services Department.
    5. Oversee Targeted Case Management (TCM) billing process, Individual Data System (IDS) and Gatekeeper as it applies to Service and Support Administration and TCM billing.
    6. Oversee waiver cost planning document process for the Ohio DODD.  Have security affidavit clearance access for PICT, IDS, ODDP, WTS (Waiver Tracking System).
    7. Responsible for all waiver costing and planning (PICT) and oversight of the Family Support Services Program.




    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services Field.  (Master’s Degree preferred).
    2. Service and Support Administration ODoDD Management Certification.
    3. 3-5 years supervisory experience in human services (preferably social services).
    4. Experience working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
    5. Evidence of a valid driver’s license in state of residence, good driving record and full liability coverage on any vehicle used for transportation.
    6. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    7. Possess computer skills in various word processing and database management programs.
    8. BCI background clearance.
    9. Any other training as required by the Ohio DODD or county board policy.


    SALARY:             Negotiable with excellent benefits package.
